Two people are sent to Good Samaritan Hospital after a three car accident in Zanesville.

It happened around one p.m. on Military Road near Winding Way.

Falls Township Fire Chief, J.D. Johnson, says a white car was trying to turn on to Winding Way. A green car had stopped behind it, but a gold car-behind the green-failed to stop.

"It struck car number 2, which then struck car number one. So, it was probably a little chain reaction, " says Johnson.

After the gold car struck the green car, it proceeded to hit a guardrail, go off the right side of the road, and strike a tree.

The driver of the gold car was transported to the hospital for minor injuries. The driver of the green car was also transported.

"Some minor facial injuries. She actually might have a broken nose and stuff like that, but she was conscious and alert. She was out of the vehicle upon our arrival. So, she’ll be evaluated at the hospital. She had a small child with her that was restrained properly in a car seat, and that child is fine, " says Johnson.

No one from the white car was hurt.

Johnson says there was a good bit of damage caused to both the green and gold cars.
