We all know Santa loves to eat and Saturday morning local kids got the chance to have breakfast with Santa while supporting a good cause.
Golden Corral, off Maple Avenue in Zanesville, sponsored a breakfast with Santa to raise money for the United Way. This is the 7th year for breakfast with Santa and last year raised $850.
"I know last year with some of the money the United Way helped local families whose houses burnt down during the holiday season, basically the United Way just helps out families in need," says Patty Robbins the Golden Corral Local Store Marketer.
The United Way also held a 50/50 drawing and raffled off and X-Box 360. All pictures with Santa were donation based. Robbins says the goal this year is to raise $1,000 and the United Way says it is thankful for all the help from local businesses.
"Golden Corral participates in this really creative way, Walmart in addition to doing a campaign has actually contributed, donated the X-Box 360 so we are very grateful to the businesses," says Meg Deedrich, the Executive Director of Muskingum, Morgan and Perry Counties United Way.
Breakfast with Santa is traditionally the first saturday in December.
