The wintry weather couldn’t keep students and their families within the Franklin Local School District from getting their H1N1 shots.
The Zanesville Muskingum County Health Department sponsored the school H1N1 vaccination clinic.
"We’ve been very pleased with how quickly move along," said Gloria Kieffer of the health department. "Today for a while people had to wait for about 10 minutes, but overall it’s been well organized and very little waiting."
Kieffer says the numbers have been about what they predicted.
"It’s been about what we expected. Probably about thirty-percent of the students," she said. "We hope to give out about 500 today."
Kieffer says 400 of the vaccinations were mist and the remaining 100 were shots.
This is the third district where the health department has offered a clinic.
