Holiday Shopping Fun

While some are busy shopping last minute at the mall, others aren’t feeling the rush right before Christmas.

Cars packed the Colony Square Mall today — just two days before the big day — but for some it was more for fun than needing to get that last minute gift.

"The girls were off from work today," said Joann Bright. "That’s the only time we could come and get together when they were off from work."

Tabitha Wollard was at the mall with her husband and two children, Hope and Seth.

"We’re taking the kids to the movies today," she said. "It’s our first day off together. We’re having fun."

But for some, the extended mall hours are helping them get some last minute gifts.

"I’m trying to pick out something for my wife," said shopper Jack Stokes. "It’s hard when they’ve got most everything."

If you still haven’t finished your Christmas shopping, the mall will be open tonight until 11 p.m.

Tomorrow — Christmas Eve — the mall will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Christmas the mall will be closed.
