One local club is helping spread holiday cheer to some Zanesville students.

The Noon Zanesville Rotary Club held it’s annual Children’s Christmas Party. More than 50 students were invited to Adornetto’s Pizzeria this afternoon for food, entertainment, and a special surprise.

"It’s like extended family. We see some of the same children every year, and it’s great to see them, even if it’s only once a year. It’s just good to see them and how excited they are-the look on their faces when Santa Clause arrives, " says Party Co-Chair Kelly Ashby.

11-year-old Chase Bookles says getting to see Santa Clause is the highlight of his day.

"I want to ask him if I can have a skateboard next Christmas, " says Chase.

Chase also wanted to thank the Zanesville Rotary Club for having this party so he could see his friends and get out of school.
