A 16-year-old boy is life-flighted after a truck and ATV hit head-on late Wednesday afternoon.

It happened after 5 p.m. on Buzzards Glory Road just off State Route 93 in Crooksville.

"The four-wheeler went left-of-center from what it appears and the pick-up truck struck the four-wheeler and the four-wheeler went over the hill," says David Lee, Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The passenger on the ATV was thrown 15 to 20 feet into a tree and received injuries to his abdomen and leg. He was taken by ambulance to Crooksville High School and then flown by helicopter to a hospital in Columbus.

"Med Flight’s real familiar with this and we can just give them the location and they got everything and they can come right here and land. It’s all flat and secluded, just an easy spot for them to get to," says Cpt. Mark Dalrymple, Crooksville Fire Department.

The driver of the ATV and the driver of the pick-up truck were not hurt in the crash.
