A local bridge will see a facelift in 2010.
Today the Muskingum County Commissioners held a bid opening to get the ball rolling on the project. County Engineer Doug Davis says the bridge is the Trinway Bridge between Dresden and Trinway North.
"This bridge is very tough," he said. "There is a high tension power line that runs over the bridge. There are only two times out of the year that the power line can be shut down. With the cranes and things that are used to build this bridge that power line needs to be taken out of service."
The lowest bid came from Complete General Construction Company out of Columbus, Ohio. Their bid was just over $1.1 million.
Davis’ estimate came in around $1.5 million.
