The Zanesville Metropolitian Housing Authority is making sure children are happy this Christmas.  The ZMHA Christmas Party was held tonight at the James Singer Activity Center. Families enjoyed refreshments and children had a chance at door prizes ranging from MP3 players to new bikes.

"There is a lot of kids out here that don’t get a whole lot during Christmas time, we are here to see that if we can help it, we are a community center and each kid get something when they come through so it helps out," says William Hollins the Ross Supervisor.

Also families got into the spirit of giving. Jazmine Stillion won a new bicycle as a door prize, but gave it to her 11-year-old brother as a gift.

"I am so excited, I was going to ask for one for Christmas, but she won one for me," says Tyson Stillion.

Tyson says this is his first year coming to the Christmas party and he will be back next year. This is the 5th year for the ZMHA Christmas Party and even Santa stopped by to give each child a gift. After the giving of gifts, families enjoyed the free refreshments and children could play in the new game room. More than 65 children and their families attended.
