A Cambridge company has reached a settlement with the Ohio EPA and will be forking over more than 16 thousand dollars.
It stems from S.W. Land Company having waste disposal above a certain approved elevation. The offense took place at the company’s Georgetown Road facility, located near the intersection of State Routes 40 and 209.
The facility has since been closed.
An Ohio EPA spokesperson says about four thousand dollars of the settlement will be used to purchase recycling containers for Cambridge City Schools.
