The Zanesville Police Department is filing charges against a 32-year-old Louisiana man in the Wednesday night shooting at the EconoLodge Motel.
Robbie V. Crawford of West Monroe, Louisiana is charged with two counts of aggravated menacing, one count of discharging a firearm in city limits, one count of carrying a concealed weapon and one count of receiving stolen property.
Zanesville Police say Crawford fired a handgun off the second-floor balcony of the EconoLodge. Police say prior to the shooting, Crawford was involved in a domestic dispute with a woman and at one point pointed the gun at her and another individual . When Crawford was arrested police say he had stolen property from a nearby vehicle.
Crawford is currently locked up in the Zanesville City Jail and will appear in court later today.
