A 26-year-old woman is taken to the hospital after a morning accident.
It happened around 6:30 a.m. on Canal Road in Frazyesburg.
Zanesville Post Sergeant Mike Forshey says Ashley McCoy lost control of her vehicle. She went off the left side of the road through a fence and into a canal.
Forshey says McCoy was in the car for about 45 minutes with water up to her waist. She was taken to the hospital with possible back and neck injuries and hypothermia.
Forshey is placing the blame of the accident on slick-covered roads.
McCoy was cited for failure to control and driving under suspension.
