Some area residents were without power Thursday  morning.

A spokesman from Guernsey Muskingum Electric Cooperative says around 940 customers lost power due to high winds.

Most of those affected by the outages were in the Dresden/Nashport areas.

Power was restored late Thursday morning.

American Electric Power says just over 2,300 were without power Thursday morning in Coshocton and Northern Muskingum County, but have now been restored.

AEP says the cause of the outage was transmission line trouble.
