Here in Zanesville, people gathered to watch President Obama’s State of the Union Address and discuss his first term in office.

The local chapter of Organizing for America held a watch party at a home on Blue Avenue. Organizing for America member, Dennis Hitchcock, says President Obama has had a rocky first year.

"There has been a lot of issues he has had to address and he’s had to address them at his own speed, he has got a long way to go, especially with jobs," tells Hitchcock.

Job creation is one thing Hitchcock hopes President Obama will focus on in his second year.

"There is a lot of people out of work now and a lot of people need to get back to work to keep their homes and keep their family members happy," says Hitchcock.

Organizing for America has around two million members nation-wide and is primarily made up of people who assisted in President Obama’s campaign in 2008.
