The Zanesville Fire Department is looking into what caused a camper to catch fire.
It happened around 8:30 p.m. at 913 Goddard Avenue.
"when we arrived, we found the camper was actually, it had been converted to a living structure. It was empty at the time, but it was fully engulfed in fire, " says Assistant Fire Chief, Kevin Thomas.
Thomas says crews had a big concern when they got to the scene.
"It was only about 12 inches away from the house. So, we had to direct our primary focus to keep it from spreading to the house itself, " says Thomas.
Thomas says luckily, there was no damage to the surrounding home, but the camper is considered a total loss.
No one was injured in the incident.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
