YOU DON’T HAVE TO TELL ANYONE IN PHILO HOW LONG ITS BEEN SINCE THE LAST MUSKINGUM VALLEY LEAGUE FOOTBALL TITLE CAME TO DUNCAN FALLS – 15 YEARS AGO IN 1995. FRIDAY, PHILO HIGH SCHOOL MADE A MOVE IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION HIRING A MAN WHO PLAYED FOR THAT 1995 ELECTRICS SQUAD AS DIRK LINCICOME WAS NAMED THE NEW HEAD FOOTBALL COACH. IT WAS A BIT OF A LONG PROCESS FOLLOWING THE LEAVE OF FORMER HEAD COACH, PETE WOODS, AFTER A 3-7 SEASON IN 2009. BUT WITH SERIOUS CONSIDERATION, THE FORMER ASSISTANT COACH AT PHILO AND MEMBER OF THE MOST RECENT TEAM TO WIN A LEAGUE TITLE, DIRK LINCICOME, WAS THE CLEAR-CUT CHOICE.
