Man Flown to Hospital Following Accident

Two people are taken to the hospital after a one car crash.

It happened around 7:30 p.m. on Marne Road in Newark.

Hanover Township Fire Department Dispatcher Clay Lamb says crews arrived on the scene to find a car that had rolled over.

He says one person was found outside the vehicle on the road with serious injuries. That person was MedFlighted to OSU Medical Center in Columbus.

A second person was stuck inside the car. Lamb says it took crews about 40 minutes to extricate the person from the vehicle. The individual was then transported to Licking Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the accident is not yet determined.

The Licking County Sheriff’s Office says the incident remains under investigation.
