The snow is making for some slick conditions for drivers, but AutoZone on Maple Avenue says there are some car products that can help you stay mobile during these winter conditions.

"It’s important you have good wiper blades and you washer fluid is full. Also, you might want to make sure all your lights are working because a lot of things get covered up in the wintertime with the snow, slush, and salt, " says Parts Service Manager David Bradford.

To help get your windshield clear of ice and snow, you can buy de-icing spray from an aerosol can or buy a special de-icing windshield wiper fluid that acts as an ice melter.

It’s also important to make sure you have good tires to help with traction.

"On front wheel drive, all the tires made today are pretty much all season radials, which are great. If you have rear wheel drive, they still make snow tires you can put on those, " says Bradford.

Bradford also suggests adding weight to your car by putting a bag of salt, sand, or oil dry in the trunk.
