Somers Pleads Guilty

In Muskingum County Common Pleas Court a man pled guilty to five charges in connection with a drug bust on Luck Avenue.

23-year-old Mason Somers of Zanesville pled guilty to five felony charges including two counts of trafficking in marijuana, one count of possession of marijuana, one count of possession of mushrooms and one count of possession of cocaine.

In return for his plea two misdemeanor charges will be dropped at sentencing.

Somers was arrested December 3, 2009 after a drug bust at 458 Luck Avenue.

Assistant Prosecutor Bob Smith says they recommended he serve one year in prison.

Judge Mark Fleegle continued his bond at $50,000. He remains in the Muskingum County Jail.
