Zanesville City School Out of Calamity Days

The Zanesville City School district is out of calamity days, which means students and faculty will have to make-up any additional days that are called off.

The first make-up day will be taken off spring break, April 7th, and work its way toward April 5th. Then if those days are used, the district will add the rest to the end of the school year.

"The school calendar is put out in the beginning of the year. So, everybody knows up-front which days are going to be made up, " says Kevin Appleman of Zanesville City Schools.

Appleman says the district does receive a few complaints from parents about when the make-up days fall, but he says overall, most parents understand.
