Bacterial Meningitis Website

by Emily Baird on March 10, 2010

In light of the eight cases of bacterial meningitis Ohio University has experienced over the past two years, it’s trying to take a more proactive approach to protect students for what the Centers for Disease Control is calling an outbreak.

It is launching a new Website that will contain information about the symptoms, risks, and prevention of bacterial meningitis.

A press release indicates that the university feels spreading awareness about the disease will lower students health risks, and it also wants to provide a place for students, administrators, faculty, and parents to go to have their questions answered.
