Donating your used clothes could bring in big savings at a local department store.

Goodwill and Elder Beerman are teaming up to bring clothing to those in need in our area.

"It is a great way to help out the community and treat yourself to something new and it is very easy, just clean out the closet and bring in the items and we would give them coupons for every item they bring in," says Annie Wolfer, Elder Beerman store manager.

In exchange for each item, a customer will receive a discount coupon for 20% off the purchase of new merchandise. Goodwill and Elder Beerman have been teaming up for 16 years and raised over 40 million items. Timi Tate with Goodwill says something as simple as clean clothes can mean the world to a family.

"I think it means a great deal to people, to dress their children, well dress themselves and I think that is a very special part of Goodwill, being able to do that, it is very special," says Tate.

You can donate your items at Elder Beerman in the Colony Square Mall or at Goodwill to receive your 20% off coupon.
