Drivers Vent about Gas Prices

Local residents are forking over more money to fill up their tanks because a gallon of gas costs about $2.79 in Zanesville, and a majority of them are saying they’re not happy with prices being that high.

"I’m a little disappointed that it went back up again because I really don’t see any reason for that to be happening-I mean as far as economically and what’s going on in the world. So, I’m not real happy with it, but what can you do about it? " says driver Kris Hoyt.

"Sometimes they go down and a week later they go back up. I don’t believe that. I don’t understand what’s wrong, but it needs to stay down instead of plunging up. It’s just ridiculous, " says driver Mark Kinnard.

"I’m real upset about it. It costs quite a bit to travel back and forth to work now, just to work. So, that’s about the only place we really go anymore,"says driver Susan Rogers.

"The economy is bad enough by itself, but we need gas to stay down. I am almost ready to ride my bike, " says Kinnard.

All three say they’re worried they will soon be seeing three dollars a gallon at the pumps.

These are some of the highest gas prices Ohioans have experienced since October 2008.
