by George Hiotis on March 2, 2010

High speed internet will soon be available to a lot more people in Zanesville and other parts of our area.. Today Governor Ted Strickland announced that the Ohio non-profit “OneCommunity” has been awarded over 11 million dollars in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds to expand broadband service. Just over 3 million dollars is headed to Zanesville. The Y-Bridge city will actually lead the effort in Appalachian ohio with outreach, training, and connection assistance in Muskingum, Coshocton and at least eight other counties. The goal, will be to increase awareness of broadband and expand the number of people who subscribe to the high speed internet service.
