The new Zanesville and Muskingum County Visitors Guide is hot off the press.

The visitors guide has information on hotels, restaurants, shopping options as well as local attractions. The visitors guide is designed to attract visitors and tourists and help build the local economy.

"We distribute over 90,000 copies each and every year of our visitors guide, so it is a great way to market Muskingum County as a travel destination," says Kelly Ashby the vice president of the Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce.

Ashby says out-of-towners are always pleasantly surprised by the amount of attractions in Muskingum county. Such as The Wilds, Longaberger, local pottery and the Y-Bridge. The visitors guide can even help residents plan out an affordable vacation.

"Staycations are hot again this year and we know a lot of folks are traveling closer to home, so it is a great guide to pick up and decide what you want to do with your family over the weekend or a long weekend getaway. Again great things to do and see here in Muskingum County," tells Ashby.

To pick up a visitors guide just stop by the Welcome Center in downtown Zanesville or call 1-800-743-2303 to have one sent to your home.
