It was the same matchup, just four years later: Zanesville versus Columbus DeSales in the Regional Final. The winner moves on to states, the loser’s season ends. In 2010, it was the loser of the game in 2007, the Zanesville Blue Devils, that stood tall when the clock hit 0:00. The Devils exorcizing their Stallion demons with a 51-46 victory, sending home the number three team in the state to move on to the State Semifinal Thursday. Zanesville jumped out to a 16-6 lead after one quarter of play, DeSales clawed back in to cut the halftime deficit to two. Never leading by more than three the entire game, the Stallions coun’t manage to get the lead for very long, eventually running out of gas against a Blue Devil team that hit thier free throws down the stretch. Zanesville will now play undefeated Port Clinton March 25th at the Jerome Schottenstein Center
