10 Jobs Coming to Fairfield County

The Fairfield County Child Protective Service’s Office is restoring 10 positions after laying off 55 employees last year. The hiring is made possible because funding from a 10 year, one mil levy that was passed back in 2008 is finally available.

Director Rich Bowlen says his office plans to offer the positions to those who were first laid off. If there are still positions available, he then says the offer will extend to the community.

The demand for child protective services has gone up over the past five years. Bowlen says these added positions will help meet these needs by providing help in situations surrounding child abuse, foster care, and adoptive services.
