The Zanesville Police Department says a 10-year-old boy is rushed to the hospital after being run over by a car.
It happened around seven p.m. in the Kidzville parking lot at Riverside Park.
Lieutenant Tony Coury says the boy was hiding in front of his sister’s red Bug, who is a juvenile driver. He says she started the car and went to pull out of the parking space when she ran over her brother. Coury says the boy was pinned under the car until a passerby was able to help the girl pull her brother out from underneath the car.
The boy was rushed to Good Samaritan Hospital and later taken to Grant Medical Center in Columbus. His condition and injuries are not known at this time.
The incident remains under investigation.
