The Duncan Falls area will soon be one step closer to receiving water from the county.
Today the Muskingum County Commissioners opened bids for a water main extension project.
"It’s on Wilhelm Road," said Commissioner John Bates. "It will help to make the loop down to the Duncan Falls area and down around Salt Creek. It brings the water further down into that area."
Bates says they’ve been seeing reasonable bids come in for projects throughout the county.
"The estimate was $150,000 so, we got some good bids," he said. "They were way under. We’re thrilled that we’re getting some good bids on these water and sewer projects."
The lowest bid for the project was from Zemba Brothers for nearly $108,000. The project will start in the next few months.
