One student, two student, three student, four. Drama student, choir student… It won’t be a bore!

Philo students are bringing the colorful tales of Dr. Seuss to life this weekend.

"It is just plain fun! Dr. Seuss I mean everybody has read a Dr. Seuss book from one time to another and this show takes all his characters and stories and kind of mixes them all up and put them into one big musical extravaganza and it is just plain fun," says the director, Cheryl Wise.

Wise says they decided to do "Seussical the Musical" this year because the school currently has several talented vocalists. To put on the musical, Philo High School is pushing their technical limits with a variety of costumes, props, an elaborate set and lighting. The cast has around sixty students ranging from first grade to twelfth.

"The little ones have learned from the big ones and the big ones have learned from the little ones and it is a challenge to coordinate all the schedules between the different buildings and everything, but it just fits all together and it makes for a great time for all of us," tells Wise.

"Seussical the Musical" will be presented this Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. at Philo High School. Tickets are $7.
