Procrastinators will be out in full force Thursday at the post office.

With the April 15 tax deadline looming, Zanesville Post Master, Steve Williams, says the post offices will be fully staffed and ready for Thursday. While mail traffic is heavier than normal on tax day, Williams says he expects it to be down this year.

"There are nearly 82 percent that filed electronic, so it is becoming more and more of nonevent for us," says Williams.

If you need to mail in your taxes the Zane Street office will be open til 5:00 p.m., the South Village Floral location will be open til 4:15 p.m. and the Colony Square Mall post office will be open til 4:45 p.m.

"The collection times are the same throughout the city with the exception of 900 McIntyre which is right here and that will be picked up at 8 p.m.," says Williams.

You can also give your tax returns directly to your mail carrier and they will be stamped for Thursday, April 15th.
