Crews will be working nights for a project along Interstate 70 in Muskingum County. It’s located just east of the Adamsville exit.
ODOT Public Information Officer, Kate Stickle, says workers will be installing a horizontal channel under the interstate. This channel will be lined with electronic sensors that will indicate if the ground is starting to sink. Stickle says portions of Interstate 70 have coal mine chambers underneath that have been filled.
Drivers may run into one lane restrictions along the roadway during the hours of eight p.m. and six a.m. for workers to complete the project. The expected deadline is mid-June.
