ODOT Goes Orange

The Ohio Department of Transportation wants to reduce the number of accidents that take place in work zones.

It says motorists need to slow down in these areas and pay attention to their surroundings so they don’t get hurt and construction works don’t get hurt either. To get out the message, ODOT plans to light buildings across the state in orange, starting tomorrow at eight p.m.

There were about five thousand accidents in work zones last year and that resulted in 13 people dying.
