The Ohio Department of Transportation says it wants to make school zones safer for students.

So, it is investing 11 million dollars that will fund 66 projects across the state. The money will be used to build new sidewalks, to replace crosswalk signs, to increase the law enforcement presence in school zones, and to teach students about roadway safety.

This is the largest investment ODOT has made, targeting school zones since 2004.
