The May Primary is a week away, and the Muskingum County Board of Elections is making all the necessary preparations before the big day.
"The presiding judges need to pick up all their supplies. They pick those up the day before the election and take them to the voting location they will be working at. We (also) go through each poll workers duties before Election Day, " says Executive Director, Chris Hamill.
A poll worker training class was held earlier today. Hamill says so far, everything is going well, but she is not sure voter turnout will reach 40 percent as she originally expected.
"I think it might be slow this election, which really does surprise me, " says Hamill.
Voters are still allowed to switch party affiliations through election day. All you have to do is make a ballot request change.
When you do show up at the polls next Tuesday, make sure you have ID that show both your name and current address.
