School District Concerned over Testing Results

by Emily Baird on April 14, 2010

The Granville Exempted Village School District is concerned about the conduct of two of its teachers and has filed a report with the Ohio Department of Education.

Superintendent Scot Prebles says the English teachers-whose names are not being released-allegedly faked Ohio testing results.

Ohio Department of Education’s Assistant Press Secretary, Julie Daubenmire, says it will now conduct its own investigation, which will be sent to a hearing officer, who will conduct interviews. That hearing officer will then develop a recommendation of whether or not action needs to be taken. Daubenmire says that recommendation will go before the State School Board for a vote of approval.

Superintendent Prebles says he’s waiting on the results of the investigation before taking any disciplinary action.
