A hit skip accident involving a semi tractor trailer sends two people to the hospital.

It happened Sunday around 4:20 p.m. on Interstate 70 in East Guernsey County.

The Cambridge Post of the State Highway Patrol says the semi tractor trailer was attempting to change from the right to the left lane, when it hit a truck pulling a trailer. The semi moved back into the right lane and continued down the highway as the truck that was hit lost control, went off the road, where it hit a tree then a fence and landed in a creek.

Both the driver, 63-year old Roger Stapleton and passenger 34-year old Bobbie Cato were transported to Southeastern Med. Both were treated and released.
