For most, Mother’s Day is showing how much your mom means to you, and the local mom’s were spoke with this afternoon say they were showered with love. It’s a special day they say holds a special place in their hearts.

"It means family, friends, and having all of our family together, " says local mom Faye McNeish.

"I have three children and three grandchildren. I think that’s the main part of being a mother. The greatest gift that god has given us is our children and our grandchildren, " says local mom Sandy Hittle.

"Just have four wonderful children, and I love sharing this day with them, " says local mom Kaye Bradley.

Some mom’s were glowing with the gifts their children got them.

"Not only their love, but a flower here and there, which I love. Hot pink petunias are my favorite, " says Hittle.

Mother’s Day typically takes place on the second Sunday in May. It’s a tradition that dates back centuries ago and was first recognized by the Egyptians.
