The Goodwill on Maple Avenue in Zanesville showed its support for the military Friday night.

Store Manager Connie Kimble says they put on the "Honoring Our Armed Forces" event, because many employees have family members who serve.

"I have a nephew that’s in Iraq right now and then several of us at the store have different family members that’s overseas," says Kimble.

The celebration featured food, door prizes and live bands. Employees say they were glad to help out.

"Just being able to help out and try to do whatever I can do for people serving for us," says Dine Efaw, cashier.

Members of the military also received 20-percent-off store merchandise during the event.
