Construction in Licking County is pushing new traffic patterns on drivers, starting today.
It’s part of a widening and relocation project along State Route 161/State Route 37.
ODOT Public Information Officer, Kate Stickle, says those traveling west are riding on the new half of the four lane highway that was put in, but only the driving lane is open. If you are traveling east, there is a restriction as well. The driving lane is the only one open on that half of the highway too. Stickle says crews are working to put down asphalt in the passing lanes.
Both are expected to open next month.
