Memorial Day Blood Drive

It’s a great opportunity to help save a life, and get something in return. The Red Cross is holding a blood drive Monday at Trinity United Presbyterian Church where they’ll be giving out King’s Island tickets to those who have preregistered. Although it is a holiday, Keeley Warden of the Red Cross says it’s very important that they get a good turnout.

"We do this blood drive every other Monday. Well this Monday coming up just happens to be a holiday so we really want to thank our donors for taking the time to come out and give blood on a holiday," says Warden.

The blood drive begins at 1pm on Monday and goes until 7pm. Warden says it’s crucial that people donate.

"So if you give at Trinity United Presbyterian Church on Monday Memorial Day, anybody that comes and gives will receive a free ticket to King’s Island that’s good all summer, so we’re excited about this promotion. We hope people come out and support us because the blood is needed all year even if it’s a holiday."

The tickets are available to the first 60 callers who preregister. You can call 1-800-733-2767 or go to to preregister.
