Tomorrow marks a big day for Zanesville City High School.

The school is preparing for the big open house. During the event, the school will showcase each class that has graduated from the school during it’s more than 50 years.

"This afternoon we’ve been setting up the auditorium and the gym for the festivities that begin at noon tomorrow," said Wayne Carpenter of the school. "We’re getting the tables organized with each class’ number on them so when people start coming in later this afternoon, they’ll know where they are and their position."

Carpenter says the administration, staff and students are excited for the event.

"Tomorrow at noon we open up," said Carpenter. "The gym will be opened up with tables representing each class and a lot of the school activities that will have a lot of history to share. There will be all sorts of memorabilia on the tables, a lot of yearbooks, scrapbooks and pictures."

At 3 p.m. the big ceremony including the opening of the time capsule will take place.

Visitors can also peruse the school and see what they would like to bid on in the upcoming auction in June.
