The Zanesville Police Department says an incident involving a two-year-old child remains under investigation.

It happened near 657 Cliffwood Avenue around 7:45 p.m.

Sergeant Chris Phipps says it appears the child jumped out of the blue car, which was moving at the time. He says it’s unsure if the child actually came in contact with the car.

The two-year-old was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital with undisclosed injuries and then transported to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus. The condition of the child is not known at this time.
