Downtown Farmers Market Is Back

You’ll see plenty of farmers all nestled in the parking lot of the Welcome Center tomorrow.

It’s the official kick-off of the Downtown Farmer’s Market, which takes place from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

There will be between 10 and 15 vendors to choose from.

"We will add a spice vendor this week. Still trying to coordinate with a salsa and a mustard vendor, but the produce vendors are back. Plenty of vendors. The baked goods vendor. They’re already lined up, " says Downtown Association Manager, Dana Matz.

Matz says it’s an important event to have that’s really taking off.

"A lot of people don’t have time to do their own gardening or don’t have time to plant enough different plants that they’s like to have. People like to buy fresh. People like to buy local, and it kind of gives you that nostalgic feeling of being able to go to the stand and buy a product, " says Matz.

The Downtown Farmer’s Market will last through the middle of October.
