While it may no longer be in existence, Hopewell High School is still very much alive in the hearts of its alumni.

Graduates of the former first through 12th grade school held a reunion with representatives from 28 classes. Chuck Norris was a member of the last graduating class to go through Hopewell.

"So you had the whole history from 1934 until ’62 and I’d seen the consolidation of the new west Muskingum come by and it’s special to me because we have all that history," says Chuck Norris of the Class of 1962.

The reunion is held each year, and no matter if they’re from Zanesville or a couple states over, many make the trip to see old friends.

"I’m from Wisconsin. I’m here for my 52nd class reunion, I used to live here years ago, I come every year," says Majorie Ott of the Class of 1952.

Marjorie Ridenour graduated from Hopewell in 1935. "Some people I haven’t seen for years and years so I’ve very glad to see them."

Following a meal, a representative spoke on behalf  of each graduating class.
