Fighting hunger is the name of their game, and following a year of providing food for the community, it was a time to recognize those who help.

The Operation Feed Food Drive campaign came to a close Thursday, and although they didn’t quite reach their goal, they are still calling it a great success.

"Today is our wrap up, and this is where we’re going to honor everyone for all their hard work they’ve put into raising money and supporting our hunger network. Also our hunger network becuase of them that there is help in the community for people that need food," says Carol Morgan, chairperson for Operation Feed.

Operation Feed provided 147,000 meals over the past year. And because of their Stamp Out Hunger campaign, a furry creature was also there to show his position against hunger.

"Our nutrition supervisor for the Muskingum Couny Center for Seniors made us a bet that we couldn’t sell 1,300 dollars in stamps sales, our stamp sales is something we sell just to raise money for the hunger network in which he lost, so he had to come today dressed as a skunk," says Morgan.

The Hunger Network thanks the community for helping them in making this year a success.
