The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a stabbing that took place in Zanesville.

It happened around 8 p.m. at 1120 Ellis Dam Road.

Deputy Tim Matheney says his office received an initial call about a dispute between neighbors. He says when they arrived at the scene, they found that a male juvenile had been stabbed and had a one-inch incision. That male was alert at the scene and taken to Good Samaritan Hospital. Deputies are not sure of the weapon that was used to stab the man.

Scanner traffic also indicated there was a possible shooting, but Matheney says it was only a threat by one of the neighbors, who claimed she was going to fire a shot into the air as a warning.

The sheriff’s office is currently interviewing all parties involved. The incident remains under investigation.
