A man authorities say burglarized multiple Zanesville businesses pled not-guilty Monday.

40-year-old Robert Johnson Jr. pled not-guilty to four fifth-degree-felony charges of breaking and entering, two charges of theft less than $500, and two charges of theft between $500 and $5,000 in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court.

According to Zanesville Police Det. Sgt. Ric Roush, on June 4th Johnson broke into the Valero and Certified gas stations on West Main Street. Roush says he also broke into the Certified station on June 5th and the State Street Market on June 14th. He says Johnson stole cigarettes from all the businesses.

Judge Kelly Cottrill continued Johnson’s bond at $100,000. He remains in the Muskingum County Jail.
