A Roseville man appeared in court Monday for charges stemming from an April accident that sent five people to the hospital.

Charles Keith III pled not-guilty to two third-degree-felony charges of aggravated vehicular assault, two misdemeanor charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, two misdemeanor charges of child endangering and one charge of not following lanes of travel.

Keith was arrested April 30th after troopers with the Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol say his Black Jimmy went across the center lane on the Maysville Pike and hit a truck driven by 59-year-old Beatrice Stemm of Zanesville. A woman and child in Keith’s car were taken to the hospital, as were Stemm and two of her passengers.

Judge Mark Fleegle continued Keith’s bond at $100,000. He remains in the Muskingum County Jail.
