New Payment Methods for Muskingum County?

Muskingum County Commissioners are considering accepting credit cards as a form of payment for everything from taxes to fines. Today CLS Payment Systems officials met with comissioners to talk about the options available.

"We’re a company that does consulting work for all types of payment systems whether it’s check processing, credit card processing, HCH, and were actually doing some studies where we’ve hired new agents and Ric Dodson is our local agent here in Zanesville," says Jim Larr, CPA of CLS Payment Systems.

This would allow businesses to start accepting payments in the form of credit cards, which could save money.

"Trying to see if we can save municipalities and government money in the areas of stream-lining waht they’re doing how they take in payments and if it can save money," says Larr.

The County Commissioners were open to the idea, and will be meeting again with CLS.
