Reward for Information on Robbery at Newark Subway

Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information on an armed robbery at a Newark restaurant.

Newark Police report that on May 23 around 9:50 a.m. a male suspect robbed the Subway on North 21st Street.

Police say the suspect brandished a large revolver type handgun and demanded money from the two female clerks.

The suspect fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a white male, between 20-25 years old with very short blonde hair.

He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, lace up boots and sunglasses.

An article of clothing the suspect was wearing was recovered at the scene and is currently being examined for DNA evidence.
